Through the Homeward Bound NYC Workforce Academy, we are working to become an official certifying institution across multiple disciplines, including: Peer Support Specialist, Food Protection, Childcare, Solar Energy Tech, Fitness Instructor, Motivational Interviewing, Case Management, Trauma informed Care, & Workforce Readiness.
What we do today
Emergency Meals — Street & Subway Outreach
Our volunteers go out daily to neighborhoods across New York City where homeless individuals live on the streets and in the subway system. We bring hot meals directly to people where they are — because hunger doesn't wait, and neither do we.
The need is visible and urgent. Thousands of New Yorkers sleep in subway cars and on sidewalks every night. We show up for them — not with conditions, not with paperwork — just with food and the simple message that someone cares.

We need volunteer fundraisers
We are actively seeking volunteer fundraisers to help us grow. Every dollar raised goes directly toward meals and expanding our reach across more neighborhoods.
